Description: THIEF RIVER FALLS NURSING SERVICES - SANFORD THIEF RIVER FALLS MEDICAL CENTER is currently seeking to employ TRF Clinical Nurse Supervisor right now, this occupation will be placed in North Dakota. Represent Sanford Health System administrative staff by providing global direction, leadership and suppor! t for the coordination of systems and patient care services for all shifts. Called upon to resolve complex patient care, customer service and operational issues. Ensures the maintenance of efficient operations and quality health care in accordance with the mission, vision, and strategic goals of Sanford Health. Reports to As Assigned Education, Experience and Skills Requirements Associate Degree in Nursing is required. Must have knowledge of Sanford Health System policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements. Requires a high degree of system knowledge and excellent critical thinking skills. Must have a working knowledge of information systems, managed care, legal, ethical and safety policies. Must have five years nursing experience with an additional three years of clinical supervisory/management experience. Licensure/Certification Requirement Must hold current Minnesota licensure as a Registered Nurse. Must be ACLS certified and have TNCC, NRP, and PALS. Job Specifi! c Competencies
Serves as a management and administrative r! epresentative of Sanford Health to ensure efficient organizational operations on all shifts.
Promotes overall quality services to customers by identifying system failures and trends, initiating problem solving strategies and maximizing efficiencies.
Provides consultation to all Sanford sites, group homes, referral hospitals/clinics and other agencies.
Assists Charge Nurse as Sanford Hospital's liaison for organ and tissue procurement.
Maintains accountability for all disasters/emergencies occurring on shift of work.
Coordinates and manages capacity and activities to ensure efficiency and the appropriate availability and use of human and material resources to meet patient needs on assigned shift.
Utilizes the nursing process in providing patient care as needed
Provides services, which are components of roles such as Risk Manager, Patient Representative, Social Services, Public Relations and Referral and Managed Care, in their absence.
Particip! ates in or leads organizational committees or projects as assigned.
Serves in role of patient flow coordinator as assigned.
