Description: Bickford Senior Living is in need of Maintenance Person - Bickford of Rockford right now, this job will be placed in Illinois. Detailed specification about this job opportunity please read the description below. CHORE SUMMARY
As the Maintenance Supervisor at Bickford Senior Living, you will provide a preventative maintenance program for the entire residence including but not limited to: HVAC, water heaters, fire alarms, nurse call systems, gutters, roofs, kitchen equipment, and wet/dry sprinklers. You will also assist with all building maintenance service contracts. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance to local, state and federal regulations and codes for life safety and fire.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or! GED or 1-3 months' related experience.
Successful demonst! ration of strong mechanical and custodial skills.
Understanding of the tools and equipment used to complete tasks successfully.
Ability to remain on-call to respond to emegencies and coordinate repairs if needed.
Oversee and coordinate bids for capital expenditures for mainenance and equipment purchases.
First Aid and CPR Certification.
Ability to complete all reports and projects on time.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. These physical demands must be met by a family member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to adapt and complete other chores as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALITIES
Proven ability to build relationships with coworkers and with residents
Senior Living experience
Basic expeience with OSHA compliance
Strong understanding of budgets and project timelines
Basic knowledge of computers including Microsoft Word and ! Excel
Basic common sense skills to carry out intructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
