Description: FIRE EMS EDUCATOR is currently seeking to employ CITY OF SIOUX FALLS right now, this job will be placed in South Dakota. FIRE EMS EDUCATOR CITY OF SIOUX FALLS $25.84 - $28.05 PER HOURUnder the supervision of a Fire Division Chief, the Fire EMS Educator will oversee and facilitate the department's public emerge! ncy medical services (EMS) training program and assist the Training Center staff in the delivery of employee EMS training. Candidates must hold or be able to obtain certification to National Fire Protection Association Standards: NFPA 1041-Fire Instructor I and Fire Instructor II within twelve (12) months of hire. Must hold or be able to obtain certification to NFPA 1035-Fire and Life Safety Educator I and Fire and Life Safety Educator II within twenty-four (24) months of hire. Candidates must also have completed a minimum of an associate degree in paramedic science, nursing, prehospital health care, or other related field from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree preferred; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority. Must maintain a National Registry or South Dakota Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (EMT-P) certification. Must possess or be able to obtain, prior to hire, a valid d! river's license.
