Job Description
Contribute to achieving national sales goals by effectively implementing marketing strategies and sales plan in assigned region. Provide current, accurate and meaningful product information to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other customers, for the primary purpose of selling the Companyâs brands and their benefits to customers.
Responsibilities
- Meet all quarterly sales objectives for assigned products.
- Develop and maintain excellent consultative selling skills.
- Sell the benefits and attributes of the Companyâs GI brands to all key customers: physicians, nurses, pharmacists, managed care plans, and others as assigned.
- Demonstrate advanced and articulate product knowledge of the Companyâs brands, competitive products, and the GI specialty.
- Establish positive and productive relationships among customer networks within territory
- Prioritize efforts and resources based on an understand! ing of products, territories, and the marketplace for effective coverage of key customers and networks.
- Analyzes sales performance and adjusts business plan and approach accordingly.
- Implement and provide input to marketing and sales strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date call records for physicians, hospitals, pharmacies and other field contacts, and submit reports and paperwork accurately and on time.
- Develop and maintain a positive business climate for the Company.
- Represent a positive and professional image of the Company externally and internally.
- Consult with management on unusual problems or situations.
- Participate in sales meetings, medical meetings, conventions and training programs as required.
- Appropriately maintain and manage samples, literature, etc.
- Maintain compliance with all company and regulatory policies.
- Other tasks as assigned by management.
- Judgment & Decision Making: Utilizes a cost-benefit approach to planning and problem solving. Prioritizes goals and tasks based on both the Companyâs strategy and market performance.
- Serving Customers: Proactively uncovers information and digs deeper to understand issues, customersâ perspective, industry/therapy, etc. Displays confidence, demonstrates quick follow-up, and counters objections professionally and knowledgably

Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree required.
- Two + pharmaceutical sales experience are required; experience selling CNS desirable
- At least one year specialty pharmaceutical experience preferred
- Prior launch experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of managed care environments is required, with experience selling within managed care.
