Weekday or weekend shifts are available.
Qualifications required are as follows: Nursing degree (ADN, Diploma, or BSN) from an accredited school of nursing; license to practice professional nursing in WI; ACLS required within one year of employment; and ED RN experience.
Diploma or ADN nurses hired after 2012 must complete their BSN within 6 years of their hire dates. Starting a BSN completion program within 2 years of hire and maintaining steady progress toward deg! ree completion will demonstrate satisfactory progress.
Abi! lity to assist with activities of daily living that require frequent pushing, pulling, moving and lifting of adult patients. Frequent positioning, transferring and ambulation of adult patients requires physical effort that may include bending, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Job Description:
Works under the supervision of the Director of Primary Care & Emergency Department. The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and supervises individual patient care for all age groups according to unit policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse manages, organizes and provides direct patient care incorporating clinical decision-making and prioritization of activities. Education of patient’s family and other health care team members is provided by the Registered Nurse, incorporating health maintenance, disease process and discharge planning. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers in the implementation of care. The R! egistered Nurse is legally responsible to provide safe care and is accountable for all aspects of nursing care provided to the Emergency Department/Walk-In Care patient. Performs duties as assigned in caring for pediatric patients from one day old to 18 years of age and adult patients from 18 to 100+ years.
