POSITION OVERVIEW

Provides nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Education/Experience:

Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing required. Valid state license to practice practical nursing required. Prefer one year of nursing experience.

• Technical Skills:

Considerable Knowledge of the principles and skills needed to provide patient care and treatment. Skill in administering a variety of treatments and medications as directed and using various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures. Skill in taking vital signs, maintaining! records and writing reports, and establishing effective worki! ng relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to communicate clearly and provide necessary instructions to patients, and to maintain strict confidentiality.
