Essential Duties:
Provides basic nursing care such as: positioning, lifting and turning patients, applying/utilizing special equipment, monitoring skin condition; assisting in toileting and ambulating patients. Provides general aspects of care such as, bathing, oral hygiene, combing hair, back and perineal care, changing patient gown, changing bed linen, straightening room, distributing drinking water and other nourishment. Assists in admission, transfer and discharge of patient. Answers patients' call lights.
Communicates pertinent patient information to charge nurse. Demonstrates knowledge of disease entities.
Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
Ability to follow oral and written directions accurately and thoroughly, and observe/respond to needs of patients.
Keyboarding skills required.
Must possess interpersonal skills to! effectively work with employees, visitors and guests.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Age: Must be at least 18 years of age
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience preferred.
License/Certification:
Certification as a Nurse Assistant preferred; required within 4 months of hire.
