Responsible for performing psychiatric/substance abuse reviews according to the benefit plan and level of ca! re criteria to determine medical appropriateness and necessity for the
following place of services:
Inpatient Hospital
Ambulatory Behavioral Health Care (partial hospitalization)
Residential Treatment Centers
Outpatient services, Federal Employee Program (FEP)
Case Benefit Management
Extension of outpatient benefits for psychiatric/substance abuse services.
Professional Association of Treatment Homes(PATH)placement.
Abilities

Organize & prioritize workload

Respect confidentiality
Travel as requested
Must be proficient in the English language
Typing (alpha & numeric)
Software (e.g. WORD, Excel, Flow Charting)
RN - Psychiatric Nurse Coordinator
Knowledge
Psychiatric, Substance Abuse Nursing Practices and Theories
American Society of Addiction Medicine ! (ASAM) criteria

Education and/or Experience
Registered Nurse (RN) degree, current ND Nursing License, minimum 2 years of psychiatric experience.Previous case management experience desired. Preferred ANCC Board Certified in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing.
