As a Certified Nursing Assistant (! CNA)you will be responsible for performing duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving patients, or changing linens. You may also be responsible for transferring or transporting patients.
Additional responsibilities of a CNA position include:
- Answering patient call signals, signal lights, bells, or intercom systems to determine patients' needs.
- Applying clean dressings, slings, stockings, or support bandages, under direction of a nurse or physician.
- Assisting nurses or physicians in the operation of medical equipment or provision of patient care.
- Changing bed linens or making beds.
- Cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, bathrooms, examination rooms, or other patient areas.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
To qualify for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you must have effective communication skills and be able to work with individuals of a! ll ages.
Additional requirements of the CNA positi! on include:
- Current active and valid licensure or certification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize with good interpersonal skills.
- Basic Computer Skills.
Good Samaritan Society - Home Care, currently has a great opportunity for a PRN (as needed/on call) Certified Nurse Assistant/Home Care Caregiver. We are currently accepting applications for traveling Certified Nursing Assistant’s to care for residents within Good Samaritan skilled nursing facilities within South Dakota, as well as home care clients within the Sioux Falls area. We are looking for reliable, flexible and compassionate caregivers who have had prior experience with hands on care. Competitive pay, mileage reimbursed and possible lodging provided.
Hours are dependent on centers and home care clients needs. Responsibilities involve assisting with personal cares, assistance of daily! needs, being able to adjust to new locations, and home care visits.
