RN Health Coach
Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
Description: St. Alexius Health is at present recruited RN Health Coach right now, this position will be ordered in North Dakota. The RN Health Coach functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the respective state Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules. The Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice (2010) and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements (2010) as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation for nursing care delivery.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
Licensure: Currently licensed with the applicable state nursing board and/or possess
multistate licensure privileges. Functions within the legal scope of practice. Must hold a valid
drivers license.
Experience: Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinical care setting preferred
Skills: Must be able to communicate with staff and patients on the phone or in person and respond to patient concerns or questions, must be able to read numbers and names and be able to distinguish colors and view.
Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to effectively deal with concerns of upset patients or other clinic staff, must be able to concentrate on work tasks amidst distractions and personal interruptions, must be able to display control and confidence under stress. This position requires contact with patients, patient families, providers, staff, volunteers, students, vendors, community and health agencies, regulatory agencies, and job applicants.
Physical Effort: Medium. This position requires full range of body motion including bending/stooping, squatting, climbing, reaching above shoulder level, kneeling, balancing, and twisting. Required to walk, sit, and stand, for extended periods of time. It also requires a person to be able to lift and move items, occasionally in excess of 35 lbs. Requires working with a variety of potentially stressful situations.
Hours of Work: Variable work hours
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Other: Potential exposure to body fluids and waste, potential exposure to radiation (potential positioning/assisting patient during x-rays), exposure to needles and hazardous cleaning solutions.
