**JOB SUMMARY**
Provides nursing triage services and health advice for patients and managed care members over the phone. Answers patient inquiries over the telephone, assessing the severity of the patient's symptoms and medical needs according to triage algorithms. Guides the patient to the appropriate level of care; schedules patient appointments over the phone with appropriate healthcare providers/facilities/physicians. Documents information provided to patients during triage in health record systems; records patients health conditions for follow-up patient care. Maintains and develops triage protocols; ensures patients' healthcare information is updated on time. #featuredjob
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**
Position will work full-time 80 hours every two weeks. Typical hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state, or states, of practice. Nurses performing nursing practice over the telephone require licensure in the states where the patients being served reside. Must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. Must have knowledge of computers and related software applications as well as proficient keyboarding skills. Knowledge of available community resources and Sanford programs and services preferred. Must have three to five years of recent clinical experience.
