We are now looking for a Business Development Director to join our Business Development team and help us drive business growth.
The primary location is Espoo, other Metso locations, Tampere, Helsinki or Lappeenranta are also possible.
As a Business Development Director, you will have a great opportunity to discover your full potential and to take a new career step at Metso. Our new Business Development team enables strong support and coordination of the global business development initiatives. We manage a wide range of projects thru business and assess and analyze markets. The projects you will be involved with will be focused on driving profitable growth for our Professional Services Business Line, as well as Business Area level projects.
You will be working in a small team, but also in close cooperation with variety of stakeholders, including Professional services business line management team, the other Services Business Lines, Salesforce, Market Areas, etc. You will report in a matrix to Metso’s Business Development Vice President and SVP Professional Services Business Line.
You will be able to leverage your expertise in the following tasks:
Leading or supporting business development projects linked to business growth or operational efficiency. Focus on Professional services business line growth strategic initiatives planning and execution
Supporting annual strategy process round for the Business Area and specific business lines
Creating data driven growth strategy plans for specific markets and products
Supporting the M&A deal lifecycle management activity
Management of strategic initiatives: time, budget, KPIs
Assessing market trends and competitors
Identifying threats and opportunities and presenting findings, projections and recommended actions
Supporting and guiding senior executive decision-making processes
Facilitating strategy discussions and workshops
To succeed in this role
To be successful in this position you should already have solid experience in business development, M&A deal lifecycle management or driving business growth and P&L projects. We also appreciate previous experience gained in business administration, management consulting or strategic planning. You have an analytical mindset as well as proven project management and leadership skills. You have strong verbal and written communication skills - you know how to communicate with different people and how to build a wide network. Your approach is proactive and independent, and you can work independently as well as part of a team. You want to continuously learn and understand the organization structure and you are committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
This position might require occasional travelling.
