Utilization Management Analyst
Location: Sioux Falls South Dakota
Description: Sanford Health is presently looking of Utilization Management Analyst right now, this occupation will be placed in South Dakota. More details about this occupation opportunity please read the description below. Part-time, 32 hours per 2 week pay period. RN licensure required Position Summary Concurrently and retrospectively monitors the utilization of resources, risk management and quality of care for patients at Sanford Health Hospital in accordance with guidelines and criteria established by the United States Government and approved by the Medical and Dental Staff of Sanford Health Hospital. Collection of clinical information necessary to initiate insurance authorization and continued stay review. May work with the pediatric to geriatric population.
Recommend previous hospital experience with knowledge of hospital procedures and regulations. Ability to interact on an interpersonal basis with both physicians and nursing staff. Ability to keep accurate records. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Basic knowledge of typing and filing. Experience with computer use, and specifically, Windows software. Must be able to work with growth and development needs of pediatric to geriatric populations.
The RN functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the South Dakota Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules. The Sanford Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice (2004) and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements (2001) as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation for nursing care delivery.
When students are providing patient care, treatment, and/or services as a part of their training, any/all employees may be asked to supervise the students.

Required Skills Education/Experience Graduate from an American Association of Colleges of nursing or National League for Nursing accredited college of nursing. Current South Dakota RN license is required or multi-state licensure privileges. Bachelorâs Degree in nursing preferred. Required Credentials (Licensure, Certification, or Registration) Currently licensed with the applicable State Nursing Board and/or possess multistate licensure privileges as required by position.
