Description: PACEMAKER / ARRHYTHMIA CLINIC - SANFORD HEART HOSPITAL is hiring PACEMAKER TECHNICIAN right now, this position will be placed in North Dakota. Further informations about this position opportunity please read the description below. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs Transtelephonic Pacemaker Checks and facilitates the use of the Event Monitoring Service System. Provides expert knowl! edge of the Arrhythmia/Device Data Base System and teaches others. Reports to Clinical Coordinator, Pacemaker/Arrhythmia Clinic Education, Experience and Skills Requirements Must have completed a Medical Assistant program and or have equivalent work experience in Rhythm Analysis and or Cardiac Testing. Must have knowledge of medical terminology, as well as basic cardiac anatomy and physiology. Must have a working knowledge of basic and intermediate life threatening Rhythms, basic pacing concepts, computers and medical terminology. Experience with pacemaker interpretation and Pacemaker/Arrhythmia Data Base System is desirable. Previous experience in a patient care area is also desirable. Basic Life Supprot Certification required. Licensure/Certification Requirement Job Specific Competencies
Demonstrates expertise in utilization of the Pacemaker/Arrhythmia Database; teaches others how to utilize this system. Demonstrates the ability to enter data into the system in accura! te, clear and timely fashion.
Demonstrates excellent commu! nication skills to enable telephone instruction feedback from patient for optimal use of transtelephonic system.
Analyzes and interprets data from transtelephonic monitoring.
Analyzes, interprets, and completes final reports for event monitor tracings.
Instructs patients and core staff on utilization of Event Monitors.
Monitors order supplies for the department as needed; tracks and notifies Bio-Med when equipment needs preventive maintenance.
Prepares and submits reports in a timely manner for physician interpretation and signature.
