ICU nurses care for acutely and critically ill patients of all ages and diagnoses. Responsibilities involve complex assessments and high intensity interventions, often involving sophisticated technology. ICU nurses are also required to attend to the psychosocial a! nd emotional needs of patients, their families and significant! others.
