POSITION SUMMARY:
The doctor of nursing practice (DNP) program coordinator is a member of the academic faculty entrusted with the overall leadership of the DNP program.
This individual will bear responsibility for the design, implementation, and evaluation of the SACN DNP program, including curriculum, clinical experience oversight, and compliance with national accreditation and certification standards.
Each faculty member is expected ! to abide by and promote the Mission, Philosophy and expected o! utcomes of the College and its programs within the philosophic framework and policies of OSF Healthcare and the College Board.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
DNP or PhD in nursing or equivalent from regionally accredited College or University required. Education preferred in advanced practice focus, family or adult/gerontology nurse practitioner preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Two years clinical practice experience commensurate with population-focused area of practice, if applicable. Graduate teaching experience required.
Nursing or equivalent leadership experience required. DNP teaching experience
preferred.
Evidence of continued self-development within profession.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Demonstrates excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
National certification as an advanced practice nurse preferred. Current licensure to practice as an APN and Regis! tered Professional Nursing in the State of Illinois and active credentialing and practice preferred, if applicable.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
National certification as an advanced practice nurse (if applicable).
Current licensure to practice as an APN (if applicable) and Registered Professional Nursing in the State of Illinois (required). Active credentialing and practice preferred, but not required.
